There are two different RF 24-105 lenses. I think you are talking about the RF 24-105 F4L IS, which is USM. The OP was asking about the RF 24-105 F4-7.1 IS STM. Maybe some other posters were also confused, and were talking about the L version, instead of the STM version? It also supports the faster ES frame rates. I don't know about the EF 24-104 F4L but the RF 24-105 STM kit lens is surprisingly good if you get a good copy. And the RF is much smaller and lighter. The camera is primarily used for portraits with different glass so this will be used as a general purpose take-anywhere lens for getting shots of the family/holidays etc.

I used the 16-35 for northern lights as I don't have a wide angle 2.8. 100-400 was useful for a couple of seals and some landscape and the 24-105 fits in the middle and was on my camera most of the trip. 6 days ago · Hi Spencer, good review! I don’t have this lens, but I have rf 24-105 stm, 50 1.8 and 16 2.8, I assume that all these lenses are in the same build quality league. I use them with canon rp for family and travel photos, and also mountaineering and climbing.
