May 8, 2011. #1. My Brothe, Uncle and I all have an Ace 250. It has been 4 Months with it and it is the worst I've owned. They both agree as well. 1 of 20 are false readings. HIGHLY innacurate pinpointing. Size and depth register is WAY off. Garrett is a good company, but the 250 is a complete bomb. Like the garrett machines had the 150 and now the 250 ready to go to a more powerfull machine but not something thats going to be too confussing this ticks the boxes if it performs on the ploughed land if not the I think It might be a T2 as there arent many that fault this machine.

Hi all, it has been suggested a bit in my "new to the My 250 did this and was a fault in the coil. I found someone who had another ace and we tested the resistance on each coil. I cannot remember which way round it was, but one read 20 ohms and one read 30 ohms. If you go to the garrett side you will see all these posts and you will see which way round it was for good and bad.
